Come see the sea gooseberries. SparkedEcho are excited to announce the Sea Gooseberry Exhibition Trail in Folkestone running on 24-29 November 2020, viewable any time. The first of the sea gooseberries have arrived in Folkestone. Trapped in lockdown, they have ended up inside closed shops. If you look carefully, you might see them in the windows. As ancient beacons of hope and light, what stories do they tell? Find sea gooseberries at: Folkestone Trawlers, Urban Room, Moo Like A Monkey, East Cliff Creatives, Objectables, Bounce, Upcycled Trading Co, Quartermasters, Ben's Vintage, The Lemon Hound, Whelkboy, Rennie's Seaside Modern, Steep Street Coffeehouse, CakeJunction, SpaceBar and County Fayre. Share what you see on social media using #200SeaGooseberries For safety, please remember to maintain social distancing whilst visiting the area. This exhibition is part of Beacons, an exciting arts project in Folkestone that will lead people to an ambitious, magical outdoor experience in Spring 2021. Produced by SparkedEcho with lead artist Alison Neighbour. Supported by Arts Council England, South East Creatives, Folkestone Town Council. Working in partnership with Creative Folkestone.
