Ever wondered how geolocated sound works, or how to make use of a 3D mic? Today we are announcing the first of our Test + Develop commissions.
We are super excited to be working with Jane Pitt, Dizzy O’Dare, Fat Lady Opera and Alison Neighbour to try out new ideas using sound and technology.

These include a geolocated sound walk in Rochester, an interactive story in Hoo, a voicemail postcard in Folkestone and a 3D binaural opera piece in Hythe.

You can see the more details of each project here. Further commissions will be announced shortly, and the resulting works will be presented over the summer.

Test + Develop is funded by Arts Council England and is part of our initial response to support local artists and to make us sustainable by testing new creative offers using audio technology.
