In 2023, we will deliver our first Immersive Tech Starter Programme for 18-30 year olds from lower socioeconomic backgrounds in Medway to open up opportunities in the creative industries.
We recently consulted with young people who helped inform the design of the programme, which will include a paid bursary, practical workshops, mentoring, work placements, seed funding, access to space and an equipment repository.

Consultation sessions, held online and at MidKent College, asked young people what barriers and opportunities exist for them to get into the immersive tech industry. The sessions were supported by Pretending People Theatre and funded by Royal Opera House Bridge.
The results have been presented by young people as animated video clips.
