It’s the year 2121 in Chatham Intra. But what does the street look like now? How does it sound? How do people live?

Intra 2121 was a VR trail on the high street that presented young people’s hopes, fears and dreams for Chatham Intra in 100 years’ time. Using QR points along the road, the public experienced mobile VR environments that offered site-specific glimpses of the future. The work, co-created with local 11-13 year olds, exhibited sound stories, animations and layered imagery onto existing street architecture.

Over 60 local young people contributed to the work, including those from our online workshops and pupils from Cedar Children's Academy, Strood.

It is a SparkedEcho project commissioned by Ebb and Flow Festival, and went live during 21-23 May 2021.
