MEN IN TECH.
Men in Tech is our new project offering weekly drop in workshops for men aged 18+ to build something new and upskill through a series of creative projects.
Running throughout 2025, we’ll be working on projects to build a game arcade, make a miniature model of a street and take part in live sound engineering. Now is a great time to try something new and meet likeminded people.
Free. Drop in. No long-term commitment. No previous experience needed. We provide all the kit. Full dates are on our Full calendar. See you there!

WHY MEN?
Men in Tech is a project funded by The Baring Foundation specifically to address men’s mental health problems and isolation through creativity. It is not focused on progression into creative digital industries; that is through our Hack programme, of which over 80% of members are women (which we’re very proud of). Men generally do not attend our community arts provision such as our Festival when it is billed as family-friendly. That concerns us, so we’re using Men in Tech (like Men in Sheds) to test creative activities that might be more appealing. We are generally working with vulnerable men, those at risk of homelessness, on low income and older - not typically those who would have access to arts, equipment or higher education.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Funded by The Baring Foundation’s Creatively Minded Men fund to engage more men in creative mental health. Partner support from Medway Men in Sheds, Sunlight Development Trust, Invicta Social Club and Poco Loco.
