Medway Hack.
During 2022, we are piloting a series of Medway Hack sessions, a proposed development programme that would support local creatives aged 18+ to use immersive tech in their work, including AR, VR and spatial audio.
In March, XR artist Livi Wilmore (who studied in Rochester) delivered a masterclass in augmented reality using Meta’s Spark AR Studio. This was kindly hosted at the AOE Creative Hub, at their new space on Chatham Dockyard.
We are planning to offer more pilot sessions and consultation during 2022 ahead of a full programme going live in 2023. An initial Facebook Group has been set up to consult on what Medway Hack could be.
If you are a creative practitioner (including graduates and educators) aged 18+ linked to Medway and interested in joining future Medway Hacks and taking part in this consultation phase, we would love to hear from you.
